Construction Surveyor

Absolute Surveying is seeking an experienced Construction Surveyor to join an established surveying team. Situated in Port Melbourne near the lower reaches of the Yarra River, your primary role will be to provide your project management surveying skills and depth of knowledge to Melbourne's major building sites and Tier 1 construction entities. The full time role provides an opportunity to manage onsite activities and work on an array of projects.


The role reports to the Operations Manager and the candidate will have:

  • Formal TAFE or Tertiary surveying qualifications
  • 3 + years surveying experience
  • Client and field crew management skills
  • A valid driver's licence
  • Strong commitment to safety

Graduate Surveyor / Surveyor's Assistant

Absolute Surveying is a consulting surveying firm that is based in Port Melbourne, Victoria and has operated since 2004 to provide specialist construction and cadastral land surveying services.

Absolute Surveying is seeking a Graduate Surveyor or Junior Surveyor to assist with a wide variety of locally based construction and cadastral projects.

This position is offered on a casual basis (approximately 20-30 hours per week) and optimal for recent University Graduates or current students nearing the end of their degree.

In lieu of tertiary qualifications, applicants with industry experience in a similar position will be considered. Familiarity with Leica Survey instruments will be highly regarded.

Licensed Surveyor

Melbourne based works, full-time Licensed Surveyor position with one of the state's leading land surveying companies.

Absolute Surveying is a consulting surveying firm that is based in Port Melbourne, Victoria and has operated since 2004 to provide specialist construction and cadastral land surveying services.

Absolute Surveying is seeking a Licensed Surveyor to join an established surveying team. Situated in Port Melbourne near the lower reaches of the Yarra River, your primary role will be to provide leadership and support to our Engineering and Cadastral teams to work on cadastral, feature and GPS Surveys throughout Melbourne.

  • Experience in the use of survey and CAD related software such as Geocivil and AutoCAD
  • GPS knowledge
  • Client and field crew management skills
  • Valid drivers licence
